Hacker Diet update week 40
Current mood: eh...
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

10 weeks since my last update... why? I'm bored with it.

Charts:
March
April
May

Ok, so you know how I start betting really big and stupid when I get bored of playing blackjack down in AC... well, a similar thing is happening here... I am getting sloppy and not paying attantion.. and really not caring anymore about loosing the weight.

SO my charts are all over the place... BUT, once a week, I get a bug up my but and say, "back on track!" for a day or two... but then I get bored again..

I'm hovering around 230. Not my goal, but not unimpressive. I've lost 110 pounds! That's 32% of my orginal body weight! That's the weight of some shorter women! That's fricken incredible, I think...

But, I'm still bored.
I stopped recording my calories everyday, and keep a total in my head. Which is sloppy, but close enough at this point.

The upside of this boredness... is I'm clearly seeing how much I need to eat to maintain this weight. But the result is not good. It's way less then I thought.. so this might get scary. But I'm not one to give up too easily, so I plod on.

Another upside is that I am actually still losing weight! At about 1 lb/week so it's not a totally loss, just compared to the rate at which I was shedding the pounds.. it's pretty slow.

Let's review my goals for a moment...
Post number 1 in this saga found me at 200lbs by christmas 2007.
This is totally reasonable. if I continue on the plan. however, months ago I thought 200 was too skinny and revised it to 215. Still doable.
Fit on the coasters at Great Adventure.
I went to GA baby! Fit on every ride I wanted! With room to spare on Rolling Thunder! and the one that started it all.. Batman the Ride: not only did I fit, the damned over the sholder harness clicked down and extra notch... I didn't even know there WERE extra notches!
Save on Gas
Well, I don't have a metric for this, but I must be saving something. My motorcycle sure knows I lost weight! It has some zip now! let me tell you!
Size 38 Pants
Nothing to complain about here! I am wearing 38/32's by Calvin Klein and loving it! Also of note.. my shoe size went down by a size... I fit in a 12 now... odd.
Size Large Shirts
Workin it good here!

Did I have other goals? maybe... Guess I should have written them down in the beginning.

Where does this lead me... well, I am technically still on the diet, I'm just not as strict about it as I was. Does the 215 lbs make sense? Sure.. it will just take me longer to get there, which is A-ok with me, as I am rather happy with my progress to date, and I feel no obligation to meet that target. Hence, the long range target date.

It's funny, you hear people say that those last X pounds are the hardest.. Now I know why. Because you stop caring! Well, not 100% stopped, but close enough to make it difficult to continue.

BTW, I still weight myself everyday, so I am keeping close watch on my weight... how long will that last? Maybe forever,.. it's not hard, and only takes a few minutes every day.

I think you're doing great, and weight loss slows down after a while so a pound a week seems pretty on the ball to me. In the end though, its all about how you feel because I always thought you looked good. :)

Ahem, anyway, I sm subscribing to your blog (even though you should just get a livejournal to make MY life easier ) and I am going to start updating mine on here (no where near as often as the LJ though) so you should become one of my avid readers... I have like, three!
