Thought for the moment.

Feeling lonely is one thing. When you're home alone, and the TV is off, and the cat is off somewhere else, and you're there on your laptop, and you open your IM program of choice only to find that of all the friends on your list, even the ones you haven't talked to in a long time, aren't on.

Not one person, out of 30+ names. Not that you even wanted to talk to anyone in particular, but the sight of the empty list, just gives quite a feeling that is hard to describe.

Something about your one portal to the world, is basically saying.. "oh hai! The worlds not here, F*CK OFF."
